Being grateful for cabin fever...

Last weekend I told my parents that I would love for them to come visit us this week because we would be back to the monotonous grind and would love a break from that. We would still love a visit but this week has been nothing but normal. My baby was still very feverish and sickly on Monday and after several annoying games of phone tag, the nurses decided I should bring her back on Tuesday. It turned out to be two trips, one to establish that we do indeed have an infection and the second to get a good urine sample to send to the lab, via a catheter. Yikes. Also, the hubby had his wisdom teeth out on Tuesday and spent much of Tuesday and Wednesday comatose in the recliner. Without my mother in laws help I would have never survived Tuesday! By Wednesday night we are all totally pooped out and stayed in for the evening. Today, as I was outside with my big kids playing in the perfectly packable snow, I felt so grateful to be home with them today. And then I thought about how grateful I am to be home everyday, to hold my screaming baby when her fever just won't go down, to serve my husband chicken and stars in his chair when he cannot think of moving, to keep the fire going in the fireplace and to pick up all the soggy clothes after some fun in the snow. Being an at home momma has lots of days when you just want to NOT be AT HOME. You wish that you had some adult conversation, some reason to wear something other than fleece warm ups, some feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day. But I will never regret this. Even if I never remember how to complete a sentence, or thought. So, I decided that maybe instead of complaining of my cabin fever I should instead be grateful for it. So I am. I am grateful for these four walls out in the country where my kids and my husband know that
I AM ALWAYS HERE.

I have been following several blogs lately and have concluded that other people seem to know all about themselves and I guess I haven't been paying attention for awhile....my husband often tells me things about myself and I think " no thats not me" and he assures me that it is....so I thought I would take a few minutes and think about me.......who am I again?

6. I love being the one and only momma to my 3 kids....
